I grabbed my favourite cardi that I use for layering all year round to see if I could replicate something similar.
I cut the same shape as my favourite cardi, I was a bit shocked at how shapeless my red cardigan really was!
I ran up the new side seams with the overlocker and also overlocked the raw edges. Then I sewed around the edges using white lace as a bias tape. I also popped a couple of red buttons on for decoration and to stop the zip from slipping off at the top.
Much better I think!
And now it wont have to sit in my cupboard being ignored all year round!
